Tom Glen, Poultry Advisor, NFU. (WED)

Tom isn’t originally from an agricultural background and started working in the poultry sector in 2015, when he joined the ABN poultry team as a technical adviser after a year on AB Agri's commercial nutrition graduate scheme. His role involved supporting customers and colleagues with analysing on-farm performance data and providing insights to poultry producers. In 2017 Tom moved into a commercial role, managing ABN's largest poultry feed account. He also participated in the NFU Poultry Industry Programme, expanding his knowledge of the supply chain and giving him an initial insight into the world of food policy. Tom moved to the NFU as poultry adviser in 2020, where he promotes the interests of poultry meat and egg producers and works with government and other key stakeholders to shape future policy affecting the poultry sector.
