Tess Wright leads the Defra policy team responsible for developing animal health and welfare (AHW) infrastructure grants, which are part of Defra’s AHW Pathway and delivered through the Farming Investment Fund. Tess works with farmers, vets and other industry experts to co-design AHW grants, including the Calf Housing for Health and Welfare Grant which launched in 2023.
