Helen Ovens, Livestock Consultant, ADAS.

Helen is a consultant with 25 years wide-ranging experience of rural development and agriculture, focussing on supporting agricultural businesses through change, with a particular interest in livestock production systems. A farm carbon emissions BASIS qualified adviser, Helen is experienced in the identification of emissions sources and carbon reduction/mitigation action planning on farms in the UK. Helen has used a range of carbon footprinting tools to help farmers with action planning in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Current carbon work includes farm advice funded via the Future Farming Resilience Fund and supporting farms participating in the EU Climate Smart Farming programme. Trusted by growers and farmers for generations, ADAS is one of the most recognisable names in UK agriculture. Established over 75 years ago, ADAS delivers practical, sustainable land management and production system solutions. Clients include small and large farming enterprises, landowners, agricultural organisations, multi-national corporations, and government bodies.
