Georgina Phillips – Phileo Lesaffre UK & Ireland
With a strong scientific background and a passion for animal welfare, Georgina supports Phileo’s poultry customers across the UK and Ireland and pig producers in England, Scotland and Wales. After graduating from the University of Leeds with an integrated Master’s in Zoology, her research centred on weaned piglet nutrition and gut health, including alternatives to zinc oxide to reduce antimicrobial use. Prior to joining Phileo, Georgina spent over three years in the livestock premix industry, offering formulation and technical advice across all species. She’s particularly interested in the relationship between nutrition, gut microbiology and welfare in monogastric systems, and how this connects with consumer perception of British farming.
