Ursula McCormack – dsm-firmenich

Ursula is a senior scientist in the Digital Consultancy & Solutions team at dsm-firmenich’s Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH). In her role, she specialises in translating complex farm data into actionable insights, linking biomarkers to key production parameters and on-farm challenges. Based at the headquarters in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland and originally from Ireland, Ursula joined ANH in June 2019. Since then, she has contributed to projects focused on developing innovative feed additives and exploring nutritional solutions to enhance swine nutrition and health. Prior to joining ANH, Ursula did a Post-Doc in the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) in Northern Ireland focusing on odour and ammonia emissions from pigs and poultry. Ursula has a PhD in the topic of swine microbiome from Teagasc (the Irish Agriculture and Food Safety Authority) and Waterford Institute of Technology in 2017, and a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from University College Dublin in 2013.
