Having worked at AHDB, Cargill and currently as director for Charman Ag., Dom Charman has sector-wide experience working with industry, governmental and non-governmental bodies. Working closely with producers, integrators, technical advisers, and various governing bodies, he focuses on helping businesses troubleshoot and optimise operational efficiency for economic performance, giving him a good understanding of the day‑to‑day challenges faced across the sector. With a background in applied science and practical farm support, he brings a balanced perspective that combines scientific insight with real‑world feasibility. Dom is particularly interested in optimising production and reducing environmental impact. With expertise in ammonia emissions and mitigation, housing environments, and ventilation, he has been instrumental in measuring and setting standards for ammonia across agriculture. Dom works with regulators, regularly contributes to technical discussions across the industry and is committed to helping producers adopt innovations that deliver impactful and achievable improvements on farm.
