Zanita Markham – AHDB

Zanita Markham is the Sustainability and Engagement Manager at AHDB, where she leads technical advice on pig housing and environmental improvements. With a degree in Environmental Management and years of experience managing ammonia emission trials, Zanita is a key link between producers and regulators. She was recently honoured with the Chris Brant Award for her dedicated contribution to the sustainability of the pig sector. Her work focuses on making future technologies -such as slurry cooling and green ammonia harvesting - accessible and practical for UK producers.
