Jen Waters Head of Knowledge Exchange – Pork, AHDB
After graduating from the University of Leeds with a research master’s degree in disease eradication initiatives in pigs, Jen joined BPEX as a knowledge transfer (KT) manager for the north of England, working with pig producers across the region. She spent most of the next decade working for Tulip Ltd, ultimately as Supply Chain Development Manager, where her main focus was to build relationships with customers at both ends of the supply chain, bridging the gap between the farmgate and retailers. She also completed a PgC in Meat Business Management. Jen previously held the position of Eastern Chair for the Young National Pig Association (YNPA) and was latterly elected on to the NPA’s Allied Industry Group committee. As such, she recognises the need for all members of the supply chain to work together to be successful and brings this collaborative approach to all ventures. In 2019, she rejoined AHDB as Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager and has since been promoted to Head of Pork Knowledge Exchange. In this role, she hopes to continue to add value to levy payers’ businesses and is committed to pushing the boundaries of the industry to ensure its future success.
